Gould in, Foster out at Bexhill

It’s a case of one in, one out at Bexhill United Football Club.

The high-riding Sussex County Football League Division Two outfit has signed striker Chris Gould from Uckfield Town, but right-back Alan Foster appears to have moved on.

Gould, who can also play out wide, put pen to paper on Monday night having played 45 minutes for Uckfield reserves on his comeback from an ankle injury last weekend.

His arrival gives Bexhill a wealth of attacking options with captain and leading scorer Scott McDonald, man of the moment Linton Rogers and the back-to-form Dave Carey all vying for the attacking slots.

Foster - one of Bexhill’s most consistent performers despite playing in an unfamiliar role during his short time at the club - told manager Gerard Moyse he can no longer commit to the travelling.

Bexhill have surged into the top four on the back of a superb run of 22 points from a possible 24 with their latest victory a come-from-behind 4-1 success away to East Preston last weekend.
