It's high fives all round for the Highdown girls

The new team of girls from Highdown Saints entered their first tournament of the season at the Felpham Colts six-a-side event in the under-11/12 age group.

The girls gave a good account of themselves in what turned out to be a sensational debut. They all gave solid performances and finished the day third overall.

They qualified for the semis and went on to the final against Hampshire team Denmead Belles but lost 2-0.

Such a passionate performance by all the girls can only be good sign of things to come.

Felpham Colts are looking for new players to strengthen their under-15 squad for the new season.

The team came third in the A division at under-14 level and have won the Invitation Cup twice in the past three seasons.
