Having already secured second place in the league there was no sign of Chichester resting on their laurels and they remained unbeaten at home in the league for the entire season.

The first half was largely forgettable. Sally-Anne Thompson was virtually a spectator in the Chichester goal.

The best chances of the half fell to Emma Alexandre. From a corner she couldn’t hit the target, then after good work from Lucie Challen on the Chichester left she couldn’t connect with a header from the cross.

It took until the 43rd minute for an effort on target to be registered, but Shannon Albuery’s tame effort was easily collected by the keeper.

Chichester started the second half in a more purposeful manner and it took just 47 seconds to open the scoring.

Jenna Fowlie was played in on goal and her volleyed effort slid past the keeper to make it 1-0.

It was 2-0 shortly after as Chloe Parkes continued her fine scoring form and volleyed across the goalkeeper.

Fowlie made it 3-0 with a simple tap-in from three yards.

Maidenhead were struggling to hold up the ball in the Chichester half, which meant Chichester could be more patient in possession.

The fourth came when Challen was bought down inside the box after making a surging run. Amy Found stepped up to fire home the spot- kick.

Chloe Dowdell made it five as she tapped into an empty net after unselfishly being squared the ball by Fowlie. The scoring was completed as Fowlie crossed for Challen to head in at the back post.
