Manager Jack Pearce and coach Robbie Blake will now redouble their efforts in assembling their squad ahead of the new Isthmian premier division campaign which kicks off in August. It follows the disappointment of the second premature cessation to the action through the Covid-19 pandemic.

The new contracts development comes after the Rocks confirmed long-serving skipper Harvey Whyte and keeper Amadou Tangara have signed once more, while defender Joe Hancott has joined the club after leaving Portsmouth.

Nye Camp No2 Blake says he is delighted Lethbridge, a former Pompey youngster, and Crane have committed to the cause. Blake said: "Craney has great experience and is invaluable on the pitch and in the dressing room. He chips in with goals, too, and it's great to have him on board again.

"Brad can be as good as he wants to be, and on his day, he can be unplayable. He needs to maintain his fitness and strength and I'm hopeful we will see the best of him when we get started.

"He was getting better and better when last season had to be curtailed and that's the level he needs to be at when we resume. There is such a fantastic player in there and our job is to bring it out."

Meanwhile, the club are holding trials for the teams which will compete in the Sussex County U18 league and the Pitching-In Isthmian Youth League.

The trials will be held over three weeks and the first session will be on Thursday 22 April starting at 6.45pm and finishing at 8pm with venue to be confirmed. Anyone interested should contact the club via email at [email protected] to express an interest.
