Paul McCallum grabbed a hat-trick as Pompey’s reserves defeated Leyton Orient 3-1 this afternoon.
McCallum, on loan from West Ham, struck in the fourth minute from the penalty spot after Wes Fogden was fouled.
He doubled the hosts’ lead in the 41st minute with a header from Josh Passley’s right-wing cross.
Nigel Atangana hit the outside of the post, while James Granger also went close with a free-kick in the Furze Lane fixture.
Sam Ling did reduce the deficit for Orient in the 71st minute following a corner.
But in the 90th minute McCallum finished from close range to complete his hat-trick after Calvin Davies’ shot had been initially saved.
