Jed Wallace and Matt Tubbs have been honored by their fellow professionals after named in the League Two Team of the Year.

The duo, who both netted in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Mansfield, have enjoyed impressive campaigns for the Blues.

Their impact has now been acknowledged by the PFA, who today revealed its members had selected them for the divisional accolade.

In the process it ensures Pompey join high-flying Shrewsbury and Southend as possessing two representatives on the list, more than the remaining League Two clubs.

It is a nod of respect towards Wallace and Tubbs who, regardless of their fine form, find themselves playing for a side presently 16th in the table.

Wallace has scored 17 times in all competitions for the Blues, while Tubbs has netted 23 goals during spells at AFC Wimbledon and then Fratton Park.

Team of the Year: Dan Bentley (Southend), Ben Coker (Southend), Connor Goldson (Shrewsbury), Steve McNulty (Luton), Phil Edwards (Burton), Ryan Woods (Shrewsbury), Matt Grimes (Exeter), Jed Wallace (Pompey), Danny Mayor (Bury), Matt Tubbs (Pompey) and Reuben Reid (Plymouth).
