* Ballboys/girls: They would like to develop a team of four or five reliable ballboys to carry out this valuable and important role. You should be available for most if not all home matches, including evening games.

Age is not important although it is unlikely that anyone younger than 12 would be considered. You would need to be at the ground 20 minutes before kick-off.

* Dressing room attendant: This would suit an adult who has high standards of tidiness and cleanliness. Duties would include preparing the home, away and officials’ dressing rooms for use. Hours of work can be flexible.

* Assistant match secretary: This is a new position, and could provide an opportunity for someone who potentially wishes to develop into a role within football administration.

Duties include deputising for the club secretary in his absence; assisting in confirming match arrangements with opponents, match officials, press, visitors etc; involvement in matchday hospitality at home match days.

The successful candidate would be smartly presented, have good IT skills and demonstrate an eye for detail. The club will provide the training required to become proficient and confident in the role. At home matches you would need to be at the ground from around 12.30pm to 6.30pm.

Cook added: “With each of these positions we of course provide free entry to home matches.”

Anyone interested in any of these positions should call Simon Cook on 07527 455167 or email [email protected]
