It will still cost £8 for an adult to see a game at Nyewood Lane and £2.50 for a young person – although the age limit has been increased for that lower price, meaning all under-18s can get in at cheap rate.

The price freeze comes despite the increase in the rate of VAT and should help the Rocks keep fans flooding into Nyewood Lane. Last season’s home average topped 400 as supporters lapped up their Ryman one south promotion bid.

And it was welcomed by joint team manager Jamie Howell, who said any move to get more fans in the ground had to be positive. “We saw a lot of younger fans coming in last season and the change in age limit for the young persons’ concession should mean even more coming to watch,” he said.

Admission for over-65s remains at £8 per game, but a season ticket for them equates to £5 per match.

Students over 18 who are in full-time education and the unemployed can also gain reduced-rate entry as long as they show relevant ID at the turnstile. An adult season ticket costs £135, or £151 if you want to sit in the stand. A season ticket for an OAP is £105 (£126). An under-18s’ season ticket is £25.

Season tickets will be available at pre-season matches or at the first home league match.

They can also be bought from commercial manager Maurice Warner on any day from late July in the club office, open from 10am to midday on weekdays.

Meanwhile, there are still no new arrivals in the Rocks squad – but nor are there any departures.

They remain hopeful that striker Jason Prior will stay.
