Rodgers Kop switch sparks Swansea interest in Poyet

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Gus Poyet has been installed as second favourite to replace Liverpool bound Brendan Rodgers at Premier League Swansea.

Blackpool’s madcap manager Ian Holloway is the early frontrunner, but Skybet are offering just 2/1 on Poyet linking up with the Swans, while he is at 10/3 with Bet Victor and 9/4 with Paddy Power.

Poyet, who had been linked with the Wales club earlier in his fledgling managerial career, would be the perfect fit for Swansea’s preferred 4-3-3 formation and passing style.

And sources in Wales say Poyet is among the frontrunners for the job.
