Midhurst Engineering have also sponsored the club with new kit bags while Total Motor Factors have supported the club with new all-in-one sub-suits, as well as kiting out the reserves out with a new kit and warm-up T-shirts and jumpers.

Total Motor Factors have also sponsored the youth team’s coaches with club tracksuits and bags.

Norgate said: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the number of businesses who have wanted to get involved in the club.

“We couldn’t survive without the help of companies who are willing fund the club, not only from a kit point of view but from an advertisement angle too.”

Midhurst have also attracted sponsors outside West Sussex.

Their biggest sponsor this season CCW, a haulage company based in Southampton. And there are several others from the Portsmouth area.

Lower Lodge MD Allan Thompson said: “We are located in Fernhurst and proud to sponsor the club.

“I was the chairman of the club ten years ago and I’m now back involved with the club. Helping the club on and off the field is a pleasure.”

West Dean Wood Stoves owner Peter Whitmore Jones said: “I used to play for Midhurst when I was a young lad. It’s always seemed to have a good team with a fantastic group of people at any age group that make it a fantastic place to be. Not only are the people involved great ambassadors for the football club but for Midhurst as a community.”

Midhurst chairman Mark Broughton said: “We are very fortunate to have such a strong, active and positive committee in place. This is shown in the amazing sponsorship results we have seen so far.

“Through my business contacts at Total Motor Factors we have gained backing from large national and international companies, like Comma Oil and Chemicals, Firstline incorporating Borg and Beck, Mintex Braking, Marathon Distribution incorporating Euroflow and a buying group called UAN.

“However, we are not resting on our laurels.

“Following our very successful first game under floodlights last week, we have had inquiries from several more companies looking to join our band of corporate sponsors.

“Our focus now switches to plans for our new multi-use pavilion. We have no time to rest.

“New improved internal plans for our new facility are being finalised, enabling us to have the very best home available for years to come.

“With grant applications and fundraising plans being drawn up, we hope to be able to deliver a project that protects the future of sport in Midhurst for generations to come.

“We are also expanding our merchandise offering. We aim to capitalise on the growing interest in our club by letting our fans show their colours in support.”

* Anyone else interested in backing the club can do so for as little as £50. There are bigger sponsorships available, too, and anyone interested should contact Mark Broughton at [email protected]
