RYAN TAYLOR’s Pompey future will be made clear on Monday.

The out-of-contract striker is scheduled to meet new boss Paul Cook at 11am.

We are going to have another chat on Monday at 11am to clarify the situation

Cook has already spoken to Taylor as he works his way through the 11 players whose Fratton Park deals expire next month.

Yet the Blues boss expects to clarify the ex-Rotherham man’s position at the club on Monday, with a host of other clubs in for him.

Emsworth forward Bradley Tarbuck has already been told there is no new deal on the table.

Cook still has several other players to talk to – including Taylor.

And he believes the retained list will officially be announced at the start of next week.

‘I have spoken to Ryan already,’ admitted Cook.

‘We are going to have another chat on Monday at 11am to clarify the situation.

‘By the time I have sat down and spoken to him I will know a lot more.

‘Ryan’s had quite a few injuries and there are things we need to chat about.

‘By the time we speak with him on Monday we will have got a feel for each other to see if it is something we would like to go down or not.

‘I always respect what anyone wants to do. If people want to walk away from us I will shake hands and wish them the best of luck.

‘We will see what happens on that front.

‘The club will make announcements soon on all of those 11 players.’

Oxford United have tabled a contract to the 27-year-old, who netted 10 goals for the Blues this season.

Millwall have also been linked, leaving Taylor not short of suitors as he strives to win the best possible deal.
