Jamie Howell praised his Rocks side after the beat Wingate and Finchley 3-1 to go top of the Ryman premier.

He was happy with the performance and the way his players adapted to tricky conditions to get themselves 1-0 up while playing against a strong wind - then build on it with two more goals after the break.

The manager said it was nice to be top, but it was far too early in the campaign to get carried away by it.

Howell also gave an update on the club’s injury list, which is beginning to clear after a bad run of knocks.
