With three league titles, two cup triumphs and three more unfulfilled final appearances, the section enjoyed tremendous success in 2019-20, despite the premature conclusion to the season.

But the club said they were not resting on their laurels and added: “We want to come back better and stronger next season so are inviting young footballers from the town and neighbouring districts to register for trials for the following age groups: U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16.

“Matches will be played on Sundays, with home games taking place on the excellent 3G pitches at The Camping World Community Stadium, by the Hop Oast and park and ride.

“Trial dates are yet to be determined, because of the lockdown, but anyone interested in registering for any of the above age groups is invited to email [email protected]

The Hornets will be entering an under-18s’ side into the midweek Isthmian Youth League with matches played at Hop Oast. For the U18s, please email to register your interest to Shaun Scott at [email protected]
