Fusion have the right mix to douse Fishbourne Flames

The Flames played well but were unable to match well-organised and experienced Fusion.

Fusion’s ability to find space and move the ball down the court was exemplary and they also proved extremely effective at marking.

Their goal shooter’s commanding presence made it hard to defend as well as normally in the opposition goal. However, Sue Cooper managed both to intercept and distribute well.

Liz Adlington had an excellent game and managed to shake off the tenacious wing attack.

Once the ball was at the Fishbourne end, Bernie Twigg was very useful and ensured it was passed to Laura Maddicks and Lucy Morris, who both scored with considerable accuracy and ensured a very respectable scoreline against one of the top league sides.
