Next week’s paper will feature all the news, views and pictures from the early part of the festival, while www.chichester.co.uk will feature live and interactive coverage each day, with which you’ll be welcome to join in.

Go to the website’s sport and video sections for features like a daily live blog from the racecourse as well as previews, racecards, reports, results, reaction, pictures and video.

There’ll also be a tipping competition involving a panel of experts ... and Observer sports editor Steve Bone.

Steve will be pitting his tipping wits against racecourse MD Adam Waterworth, No1 female jockey Hayley Turner, Channel 4 Racing betting guru Tanya Stevenson and Goodwood member Tony Castley.

Tony won last year’s competition, tipping 12 winners across the five days.

Keep an eye on Steve’s Twitter feed - @stevebone1 - and anyone who sends their own daily tips to him will have them retweeted and featured on our blog.

Meanwhile, the following week’s Observer (August 8) will feature a round-up of the latter part of Glorious, including pictures galore from Ladies’ Day.
