Wood takes up teaching role at '˜superb' Chichester Golf Club
Mark Wood has joined Chichester Golf Club as director of instruction.
He has received a warm welcome from staff and members and reckons the club has something to offer all ages and abilities. He described the Hunston’s teaching facilities as ‘superb’.
Wood has been coaching for more than 20 years, most recently at Dale Hill Golf Club in East Sussex where he built up a successful Golf Academy with clients ranging from beginners through to European Tour players and ex-Ryder Cup players.
His philosophy is that ‘one size does not fit all’ when it comes to golf and he is passionate about personalising the lesson based on the individual client and their strengths.
He uses the latest technology, including V1 software and Flightscope, a system that allows him to correct your swing by tracking your ball flight.
After lessons with Wood, you receive a follow-up email detailing all the points that were discussed in the lesson.
Wood has written articles for numerous golf publications – Golf Links, Play Better Golf, National Club Golfer, PGA magazine, Golf Operator and World’s Best Golf Destinations.
He is in the process of writing his second book, Never Shank Again.
Wood has his own YouTube channel where he uploads videos to help frustrated golfers overcome their hurdles.
His passion for golf began in 1987 when his family acquired an Edwardian townhouse directly overlooking Seaford Head golf course.
