Goodwood Cricket Club members have turned out in force twice in recent weeks.
A superb number of players attend the NatWest Cricket Force work afternoon – preparing the ground, cleaning the pavilion and getting everything ready for the first game on Sunday, April 19 against Madehurst.
The club’s annual meeting took place at the Goodwood Hotel. It was very well-attended and was an opportunity for all members to express their thanks to Tim Odell, who stepped down as club chairman after nine years.
Tim worked tirelessly in leading the club, liaising with the Goodwood Estate and looking after the ground.
At such a small club the burden on officials can be enormous and all Tim’s work and support has been very much appreciated by all involved with Goodwood cricket, who look forward to his continued involvement.
The club are looking forward to the 2015 season with some 59 games due to be played at the ground by the Goodwood Sunday XI, the Estate Evening XI, Chichester Priory Park’s third and fourth teams plus a number of Chichester Priory Park junior matches.
