Gosden and Buick set to lead Michelangelo to Glorious Goodwood

A TRIP to Glorious Goodwood looks to be on the cards for Michelangelo following his impressive win in Saturday's £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-0 cup at Newmarket's July Course.

Dropping back down to ten furlongs proved to be no problem for the well-bred colt, trained in the town by John Gosden, with the 5/6 favourite justifying his position at the head of the market to score by two-and-three-quarter lengths under William Buick.

“This is a great series for two and three-year-olds with fantastic prize money on offer,” said Gosden.

“Michelangelo has done it well over an inadequate trip and he will now step up in distance and go for the Gordon Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and then the Great Voltigeur at York.”
