A tough team talk from coach Thakore got Chichester’s heads up and fantastic work from Hyla, Cox and Giles led to Chichester getting one back with a reverse strike from Cox.

Then Goring drove down the right wing and past two defenders to win a short corner. Hyla took it and made the scoreline 2-2.

Horsham came back fighting and made it 3-2.

A break from Nixon supported by Chaplin and Giles saw Kuntze on top of the D with a free-strike into the bottom corner for 3-3.

With eight minutes to go, Polish international Hyla ran through the middle and a short corner was again put away with a cheeky lift over the keeper from Cox.

Solid transfers around the back made a fantastic team goal starting from Mealyer, Chaplin and Peake through to Halliday and Lerwill to leave Kuntze free on top of the D with Giles on the post and the ball in the back of the net to make the final score 5-3.

It was a fantastic effort by everyone – and that goes for the whole season – and Chi finished third in the league.
