Hot stuff from Flames clips Red Admiral's wings

Fishbourne Flames enjoyed a goal-fest in their comprehensive victory over a disciplined and skillful Admirals side and ended up 40-19 winners.

A confident start indicated the increasing self-belief of a side who are new to the league this year.

Laura Maddocks and Lucy Morris were outstanding in goal, rarely missing and passing out effectively to Julie Harding and Kylie Charles, enabling them to get into strong shooting positions.

At the other end, Christine Huggett made a welcome return after injury and was effective in blocking the Admiral shooter.

Caroline Eames had her hands full as she intercepted and gained possession well and her presence ensured the number of opposition goals was held in check.

Lyndi Morrison kept pace  with the impressive wing attack and Bernie Twigg injected welcome speed in the final quarter. Harding and Charles covered a lot of ground and found space, setting up smooth passing from one end to the other.
