Racing UK is sponsoring the Glorious Goodwood top jockey award - and Richard Hughes is 5-4 favourite with Sky Bet to retain his title for the fourth consecutive year.

The leading jockey over the five-day festival will receive a subscription to Racing UK, a £1,000 donation to the charity of his or her choice and a deluxe Goodwood hamper.

As leading rider from last year’s meeting, Hughes will wear the Racing UK blue and white armband for the opening race on Tuesday, the bet365-sponsored one mile and a quarter handicap.

Racing UK’s marketing director Clive Cottrell said: “Racing UK is delighted to sponsor the Glorious Goodwood top jockey award for the fourth year running - as we’re always keen to support and work with the sport’s real ambassadors.”

Hughes’ main title rival is seen as Ryan Moore, the 7-4 second favourite to pick up the award.

Michael Shinners, Sky Bet racing PR manager, said: “Richard Hughes and Ryan Moore have dominated the flat season so far and head the market for the Racing UK Glorious Goodwood top jockey award. Richard Hughes is our favourite given he has a number of fancied runners, highlighted by Toronado in the QIPCO Sussex Stakes.”

Sky Bet latest betting: 5-4 Richard Hughes, 7-4 Ryan Moore, 16 Joseph O’Brien, Tom Queally, William Buick, 22 Johnny Murtagh, Paul Hanagan, 33 Jamie Spencer, Joe Fanning, Kieren Fallon, Silvestre De Sousa.
