Lewes draw Grays in the Cup

Lewes face a trip to Essex to take on Blue Square Premier outfit Grays Athletic in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Steve King's men, who are riding high at the top of the Blue Square South, might fancy their chances of pulling off an upset against a team that is sitting just two places above the relegation zone in the top flight division in non-league football.

The Rooks earned their place in the fourth qualifying round with a 1-0 victory over Sutton United on Sunday. A first half goal from Simon Wormull was enough to separate the teams.

If Lewes can overcome Grays in the next round, they could potentially draw a highly lucrative tie against the likes of Leeds United, Nottingham Forest or Brighton & Hove Albion in the first round proper.

Ties in the fourth qualifying round are scheduled to be played on Saturday, October 27.
