Robert Goodall competed in round five of the Triumph Triple Challenge on the Brands Hatch GP Circuit in Kent.
Qualifying on the Indy circuit saw the Chichester speed king place the bike 27th on the grid with a time of 50 seconds.
Goodall had a steady start to the first 15-lap race, maintaining pace with those in front. By lap three he had moved up to 21st and all seemed to be going well.
As the laps came down he maintained position until his tyres started to go off in the blistering heat which caused him to struggle for pace along with the more experienced around him coming back through the field. He crossed the line in 23rd.
Race two saw Goodall start from 25th. By the end of lap one he had moved up to 18th. In this ten-lap race he was doing well until he was pushed down to 22nd at the chequered flag.
Goodall is having a good year - learning all the time and showing he has pace and determination.
He will be in action again over the August bank holiday weekend at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire.
