Bognor Rugby Club held thier annual Burleigh Travel festival for juniors aged six to 16.

On the Saturday, 33 teams from the south of England and Wales competed from under-sevens to under-12s and not even the horrendous rain could dampen the spirit of the players and spectators, who all enjoyed some fantastic rugby and great banter between the teams and supporters on the touchline.

On the Sunday, 14 teams from under-13 to under-16 played outstanding rugby in glorious sunshine while battling through the mud left from the day before, but good humour and commitment shone through to provide the supporters with lots to cheer for with some great competition.

Bognor welcomed Edenbridge, Tring, Old Colfeians, Portsmouth, Shoreham, Marlow, Gowerton, Gosport & Fareham, Keyworth, Old Albanians, Basingstoke, Esher, Upper Clapton, Hove, Midhurst and Bournemouth.

All teams showed great spirit and sportsmanship and Bognor passed a huge thank-you to all players, parents, coaches and volunteers who worked hard to make the weekend a success.

Meanwhile, the club raised £350 from sales of the programme which will be donated to Chestnut Tree House hospice.
