The University of Chichester golf team beat Imperial College London in the semi-finals of the South Eastern Conference Cup.
Chichester will meet Royal Holloway in the final at the Downs course at Goodwood.
In hockey, Chi’s women’s seconds lost their Conference Plate semi-final 2-1 to Surrey seconds.
The men’s and women’s football firsts both made it through to the last eight of the British Universities and Colleges national championships.
The men lost 3-0 at Hartpury while the women were beaten 4-0 at home to the University of Birmingham.
Lizzie Steele struck first for the visitors with a tap-in after a long throw. Megan Herbert went close for the home side two minutes later but her fierce shot cannoned back off the bar.
Birmingham scored two goals in quick succession after the break. Ella Franklin hit a stunning volley from outside the area, then Philippa Harmison was in the right place at the right time to add the third.
But for a brave double save from Chi keeper Courtney Trodd, the visitors might have made it four on the hour.
Birmingham capped an efficient display with a penalty three minutes from the end.
Despite the disappointment, Shannon Sievwright and her side can look back on an impressive campaign that saw them finish runners-up in the Premier South division after an exciting title tilt with Cardiff Met that went down to the last game.
Upcoming cup action sees unbeaten men’s table-tennis team take on Sussex seconds in the Conference final.
