Chichester Racquets & Fitness Club hosted a ten-and-under green county tennis tour event.

The tournament was the latest in a series of junior tennis events to be staged at the club over the summer season.

The boys’ singles event was organised using a round-robin format of five players, each match comprising two short sets and a match tie-break if needed.

Noah Burton was runner-up winning a silver medal for winning three out of four of his matches.

The gold medal was won by Alex Ellison, who won all his matches without the loss of a single game.

Tournament organiser Peter Cook said: “It is great to see the emerging talent we have at Chichester competing regularly.

“Support for all the tournaments has been really excellent which shows that more and more of our juniors are experiencing competition at all levels.”
