EXCITEMENT is growing at Chichester Rugby Club as a £550,000 project to transform their headquarters and give the city a sporting hub to be proud of takes shape.
With the first XV now playing in the National League – their highest-ever level – and more children than ever enjoying the sport each week, club members have been working hard to raise money to fund a major upgrade of their clubhouse facilities.
Three years ago, current club president David Kay, supported by a small group within the club, decided to kick off a project to transform the facilities into a format that meets modern-day standards.
Planning permission was granted – a huge achievement – and the hard work of fundraising began.
