Sun shines on Sedlescombe's golfing ladies - and their inflatable turkey

Sedlescombe Golf Club ladies enjoyed  glorious weather for their latest competition.

Thirty-nine ladies entered the annual three club challenge played this year on the nine-hole par three course, made all the more difficult this year as a nett medal score.

The course is in great condition and many thanks go to the greenkeeping team.

Christmas fancy dress was optional and some took it way further than others. The funniest was Alli Hare in an inflatable turkey costume. Veronica Claxton was named best dressed trolly.

The winner with a very impressive score of 24 was Sheree Baldock Apps.

Second was Teresa Hales with 26, third Barabra Kaliniecka with 28, fourth Sandra Slinn on 28 and fifth Lynn Clayton 29.

The wonderful hamper prizes were provided by Lady Captain Carol Gillam.

The management kindly provided complimentary drinks and mince pies for the socially distanced presentation, and this was another successful and fun day for the ladies’ section.
