Our water polo lads make national mark
THE UNDER-16 water polo team of Worthing Swimming Club can consider themselves among the best in the county at their age level.
Having knocked out Cheltenham on their debut in the National Youth Cup, in the previous round, they took Manchester all the way, to lose 12-9 in the quarter-finals at Walsall.
Worthing lost 12-9, after fighting back from 4-1 down after the opening quarter, to 5-4 down at half-time, and from 10-6 down after the third quarter to 10-9 with a chance missed to equalise.
