WALES-BASED company Equinalysis is recruiting for rather an unusual role-biomechanists for horses.

There are 1.2 million privately-owned horses in Britain, and 4.2 million riders, so the equine industry is booming.

Equinalysis is looking to recruit UK business partners to provide equine gait analysis the length and breadth of the country. The video-based technology is used on horses to evaluate soundness or quantify any existing problems.

Biomechanists, locomotive experts and anyone interested in sports science are being sought to provide a much-needed service to horse-owners and allied industries, eg, veterinary science, farriery and equine sports performance.

Equinalysis is holding an equine health performance seminar on Thursday, November 29 from 3pm to 7pm at a leading equestrian facility in north Gloucestershire, and will also be holding other national seminars in areas with suitable levels of interest.
