Plumpton reach Wisdom final again

Plumpton reached their fifth Wisdom Cup limited-overs cricket final in seven years when they beat Horsted Keynes by three wickets in the semi-finals on Sunday.

They will chasing their fourth win when they meet Hartfield '“ who beat East Grinstead 3rds by four wickets '“ in the decider at the East Grinstead ground on Sunday, August 20.

Horsted Keynes made 152-9 in their 40 overs, Chris Batchelor top-scoring with 55 while Richard Ward took 3-23.

In reply Plumpton got home in 31.2 overs as Matthew Stone hit 46. James Fuller took 4-22.

Grant Bateman hit 99 not out as EG chalked up 216-6 in 40 overs against Hartfield, who passed that total with an over to spare, Steve Medhurst cracking 66.
