Polo: Wet weather forces Gold Cup ground switch

With the forecast for further rain during the coming week, Cowdray Park Polo Club have made the decision to play the semi-finals of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup on Thursday (July 12) at the Ambersham complex.

As parking space at Ambersham is limited, and there is no parking at all in the surrounding lanes, the organisers ask that wherever possible friends and colleagues share their ride so as to minimise the number of vehicles on site.

Gates will open at Ambersham at 10.30am, and the first match will be at midday and the second at 4pm.

The final of the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup on Sunday (July 15) will be played, as planned, on the Lawns 2 ground at Midhurst.
