Royal Ascot effort earns Glorious place for King’s runner

Nafaath has booked his place to Glorious Goodwood thanks to a creditable effort at Royal Ascot.

Trainer Neil King has nominated the Goodwood Stakes over two miles five furlongs for the six-year-old, who put in his best work at the finish to take third place behind Simenon in the Ascot Stakes.

The Newmarket hanlder told the Press Association: “He’s come out of it in very good form. He didn’t have much luck in running. We were drawn wide and had to go further than everybody else in the field, but he ran a blinder.”
