Kent keen to move into new rugby role at Bognor

Bognor Rugby Club have named Mike Kent as their new head coach.

Kent moves into the role with a wealth of knowledge and experience, having played both rugby league and union. He has some great ideas on how he wants the London two south west outfit to play.

Club captain Lee Balchin said: “Mike is a great coach and we look forward to improving our standards.”

Kent heads up a new coaching regime at Bognor which will include Karl Flynn, Stuart Pearce and Steve Dove.

Full pre-season training begins at 7pm tonight at Hampshire Avenue. New players are welcome to turn up and join in.

Bognor have a new website which will be going live in early July. Forthcoming events and news of league fixtures will be shown on the website and, of course, full reports of all games plus pictures will appear in the Observer.

Chairman Andy Sweeney said: “We are looking forward to our new season and the players are pleased to have a new coach.

“We hope to see many new faces at the club this season. Come and join us for a game of rugby or socialise in the bar.”
