They go into the final afternoon of the regular league season knowing a big win over Hendon coupled with a defeat for leaders Hampton & Richmond could hand them the Ryman premier title.

The goal-difference swing needed is five - so, for example, if Bognor were to win 4-0 and Hampton were to lose 1-0, Bognor would be champions on goal difference.

It’s a long shot, but it’s a huge credit to the Rocks management and players that they are still in with a chance of top spot at the death.

Back in March, when they werre in the midst of their FA Trophy run and the games in hand were piling up, they dropped to seventh.

But an amazing run of nine wins from 12 in 29 days since the loss to Grimsby in the Trophy semi-final, has put them right in the mix.
