The visitors are two points ahead of the Blues in the league and both clubs are trying to pull away from any threat of relegation. Two of the relegation places are virtually decided but the third would seem to be between four teams on the basis of form to date.

Chi have won their past two games and are determined to make it three. Wimbledon are difficult to beat and two seasons ago won at Oaklands, a last-minute penalty from long range snatching victory by 24-22.

This season Chi lost the away encounter 30-17 but they were missing some regulars. Wimbledon have also strengthened their side and are known for their mobility and their kicking from the tee.

The Blues look forward to the game and to massed support from the touchline. The match will be preceded by the annual farmers’ lunch which will be attended by 150 and should aid a cracking atmosphere.
