RICHARD HANNON once again looks like being well represented at Glorious Goodwood - and may bid for the week’s second Group 1 prize, the Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes, with Sky Lantern.
Hannon’s son and assistant trainer, also called Richard, said: “Sky Lantern could go to the Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes.
“She settles well, you saw that in the Falmouth (at Newmarket last week), and is easy to manoeuvre in a race so I can’t see why she won’t get a mile and a quarter. We’re keen to go to the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf at the end of the season.
“Producer is in good form and likes the track, as does Libranno, and both of them will probably go for the Lennox.
“We’ve got some nice two-year-olds. We deliberately missed the July Stakes with Thunder Strike, who was fourth in the Coventry, so that he could go for the Richmond Stakes. Toormore is likely to go for the Vintage Stakes and Brown Sugar for the Molecomb.
“War Spirit is another two-year-old we like. He’s by Exceed And Excel and is unusual because he has one grey leg.”
