Wealden hit the spot

County League TwoPagham 1 Wealden 3Wealden manager Andy Gander was delighted with victory over high-flying Pagham on Saturday that opened up the division two title race.

He said: 'They had lost at Westfield the previous week and we talked about striking them while they were vulnerable. We got two early goals and should have had the match won by half-time, but we let them back in when we gave them a soft penalty before the break.

'Then we killed the game with our third goal just after half-time and they didn't really offer any threat after that.'
