The Sharks can boast England stars Matt Prior, Luke Wright and Michael Yardy as well overseas players Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Wayne Parnell and Umar Gul who will all play their part as Sussex look to head towards Finals Day.

The opposition will have a few big guns of their own throughout the tournament.

After tonight’s opener Sussex entertain Middlesex Panthers, Somerset, Kent Spitfires, Gloucestershire Gladiators, Glamorgan Dragons, Hampshire Royals and Surrey Lions.

Hopefully they will then be able to look forward to a home quarter-final, with Finals Day at Edgbaston then only one match away.

Watching t20 cricket is like nothing else and even whether you’ve never been to a game before or you never miss a match, you’re sure to be entertained at The PROBIZ County Ground this summer with sixes disappearing into the crowd and the stumps being splattered as well as plenty of other entertainment to make it an exciting evening out for all.

Sussex won the t20 in 2009, beating Somerset in the final, and missed out on last summer’s finals day at the Rose Bowl only when they lost to Notts in the quarter-finals. They’ll be anxious to taste more finals day success this time around.

You can book tickets for all Sussex matches at www.sussexcricket.co.uk or by calling 0844 264 0206.

Middlesex Panthers visit Hove next Friday – June 10 – for a floodlit affair and we have a pair of tickets to give away.
