Having played a very successful Summer League at the Dome at the University of Chichester, which brought together teams from all over the Chichester district, league organisers are delighted to be getting the winter version under way.

The Dome on the Bishop Otter campus offers a fantastic location for netball with three indoor courts, so weather cannot impede play.

They play two rounds of games each week – the first round starts at 7.30 and the second at 8.30. I

They have teams from Midhurst (the Wolverines and the Jets), Fishbourne (the Red Flames and Blue Flames), two teams from the University, a team from Footloose Netball Club, one from the college and two from Selsey Netball Club, The Lilacs and the Purples.

For the new season, they can take two further teams, affiliated to England Netball. If your club would like to enter, or you are a group of ladies who would like to play but need more players, you’ve time to look around and find some.

You’ll need an umpire or someone willing to learn, as the league can train them.

Apply on the website, www.chinetball.co.uk – all the necessary detail is there and if you have questions about starting up, email [email protected]. The league have a Facebook page too.

If you are a lone netballer, new to the area with neither club nor knowledge of the netball world in Chichester, contact the league.

Even if you played ten or 20 years ago, if you’re 16 or 60, teams are always looking for new players.
