A Night at the Musicals offers West End delights in Chichester
The West End comes to Chichester on July 30 for A Night at the Musicals featuring Jenna Lee James, Cassidy Janson and Matt Ford.
Bel events has confirmed the new outdoor summer event for Priory Park.
Spokeswoman Caroline Edmunds said: “Pack up a picnic hamper and come along with friends and family to enjoy a wonderful evening listening to some of the best-loved songs from London’s musical theatreland. Accompanied by London’s Orion Orchestra, it promises to be a fantastic evening in the heart of Chichester with performances of popular songs from leading shows including Les Misérables, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Chess, Oliver, South Pacific, Wicked and The Greatest Showman.
“Jenna Lee James, who, as well as working extensively as a leading artist in the West End and on tours in the UK, has just finished touring the world with Hugh Jackman as the featured vocalist on his world arena tour.
“Cassidy Janson can be seen playing Anna Hathaway in Max Martin’s debut musical & Juliet at The Shaftesbury Theatre, London for which she won an Olivier award. Cassidy was also a member of the original London cast of Wicked and played standby for Elphaba and performed the role of Florence in Chess for English National Opera at the Coliseum with Michael Ball and Alexandra Burke.
“Jeff Nicholson has performed in Les Misérables and been a vocalist on feature films including Sweeney Todd (Tim Burton), Mamma Mia, Pirates of the Caribbean and How to Train your Dragon.
“Matt Ford has made several concert appearances including at The Royal Festival Hall and Symphony Hall with the London Concert Orchestra (Big Band Broadway, with Martin & Shirlie Kemp), The National Concert Hall in Dublin with the RTE Concert Orchestra (A Night at the Oscars), and Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (Songs from the Musicals).”
