Concert pianist back in Easebourne for fundraiser

FORMER Easebourne Primary School pupil Andrew West who is now an international concert pianist and professor at the Royal Academy of Music is returning to the village for a special fund raising concert.

He will perform on Friday, June 15 at 7.30pm in St. Mary’s by Andrew West and will be accompanied by the internationally known Touchwood Piano Quartet comprising Fiona McCapra (violin), Judith Busbridge (viola) and Adrian Bradbury (cello).

The programme will include Dvorak’s masterpiece of the Romantic repertoire, the Piano Quartet in E Flat, and, as a highlight of the evening, Schubert’s ever popular Trout Quintet.

The artists are providing their services free and all proceeds will raise funds for the repair of the church roof.

For those unable to attend on Friday Andrew will give a solo piano recital on Saturday June 16 at 11am.

Among other items the programme will include Schubert Impromptus and a Beethoven Sonata.
