Sisters with murder on their mind

But would you set about trying to kill him? And, if so, how would you go about it?

This is just what happens in The Out-Laws, a ten-episode dark comedy series recently broadcast on More 4 and now out on DVD.

After their parents’ death, the five Goethal sisters, Eva, Birgit, Veerle, Bekka and Goedele have been inseperable.

The only thing to come between them is Goedele’s husband Jean Claude.

His delight in life is tormenting those around him - whether it be his family or a local restaurateur.

The sisters, with skeletons in the closet regarding their brother-in-law, hatch a plot to help free Goedele, and themselves, of the spiteful man.

However, murder is not as easy as it is made out to be in other crime stories, leading to some great dark comedy moments.

It’s dark, it’s funny and above all it’s very quirky.

The Out-Laws has been a huge success in its native Belgium and won awards for Popular Series and Best Drama in the Belgian BAFTAs.

The Out-Laws (15) is out on DVD.
