THE fourth Haslemere classic car show and tour takes place on Sunday, May 27 at Lion Green, Haslemere and will be a day filled with pre-73 classics and vintage entertainment.
Following on from previous successful years, the popular Lion Green event is growing and this year there is more space to accommodate an increased number of cars and stalls.
The event is in two parts – a pre-booked limited-number morning tour around the countryside with a stop at a place of interest and a free static show on the green from 12.30pm-5pm.
This is open to all pre-1973 type vehicles and organisers are hoping to attract a wide selection from turn-of-the-century veterans, post-war family classics and race machinery to early 1970s super-cars.
There will be two fun awards, a ‘best dressed car and driver’ and a ‘people’s choice’ voted by the public for the car they would most like to take home.
Pre-booking will guarantee a place on the green.
Run as part of the Haslemere Festival, the event is organised by classic car broker and restorer James Ewing with vintage partners Kate and John Orr from The Haslemere Wardrobe.
