Wallace and Gromit at Petworth House

THE creators of national treasures Wallace and Gromit, Aardman, have teamed up with the National Trust to offer visitors a ‘Summer of Celebration’, with special workshops and outdoor trails running across National Trust places.

Petworth House is offering visitors the chance to make their own ‘Gromit’ under the expert guidance of Jim Parkyn, a top Aardman model maker. The one hour workshop, suitable for adults and children alike will be held on Wednesdays 8th and 15th August 8 and 15.

Those attending will get to make their very own Gromit, from the exact materials as used in the Aardman studio.

Jim Parkyn has worked for Aardman since 2000, contributing to many Aardman films, from ‘Chicken Run’ to ‘Wallace and Gromit, the Curse of the Were-Rabbit’. Booking is essential. Details are at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/petworth or by calling 01798 342207.
