A fun show to help children learn about healthy eating is coming to Eastbourne this May.

The show is being brought to the community by Radtastic Theatre and the man behind the production Radley Mason, an Eastbourne resident, said: “Research shows that kids retain information better when its been delivered in an entertaining way, but we don’t want to preach to them, this is why we’ve put together a fun filled show with some education snuck in there.

“Eating healthy is so important, not just kids but for everyone, and during lockdown, most of our diets have suffered a bit which in turn effects everything else; our mental well-being and self esteem. So we thought it would be a good idea to give everyone a little fun reminder to take care of themselves.

“Our kids have spent a lot of time on-screens during lockdown and we feel they could do with a bit of live entertainment. I’ve been a children’s entertainer for six years, performing at over a thousand events, most recently at an online festival alongside Andy and the Odd Socks from CBeebies. I can honestly say, there is nothing kids respond to better than live entertainment.”

The Covid-safe socially distanced show is at The Grove Theatre on May 29 at 11am and 1.30pm. The shows are free to attend, courtesy of The Sussex Community Foundation.
