Held by the Irie Steel Pan Workshops, the performance was run by husband and wife team Junior and Marcella.

They kept the children fully entertained all afternoon by kicking off with a rousing steel pan rendition of the theme tune from Match of the Day, which all the footballing fans very much enjoyed.

This was followed up with tunes of all genres from pop songs to nursery rhymes.

There were questions, quizzes and plenty of opportunities to dance around the school hall.

Following the performance, Class Three got to enjoy a personalised workshop. All the children had the opportunity to have a go at playing both the bass and tenor steel drums. Smiling faces left the hall after a thoroughly entertaining time that, whilst being fun, also provided a great opportunity for the children to expand their musical knowledge.
